Introduction

The Department of Operative Dentistry and Endodontics specializes in restoring and treating dental diseases, using advanced techniques and materials to achieve optimal results. It is one of the few departments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which provides a comprehensive care, educate future dentists, and actively contribute to research and innovation in the field. Our goal is to deliver outstanding dental care and advance the field of operative dentistry and endodontics.

Academic Activities

BDS Program: Our four-year BDS program focuses on operative dentistry, providing students with comprehensive theoretical and practical training for a successful dental career.
FCPS Training: Our specialized four-year FCPS training program in operative dentistry offers advanced clinical training and research opportunities for dentists seeking to enhance their skills and expertise.
Both programs are taught by experienced faculty, utilize state-of-the-art facilities, and align with international standards in operative dentistry. In addition to the BDS program, the Department of Operative Dentistry at RCD offers a specialized four-year FCPS training program in operative dentistry.

Tooth-colored direct and indirect restorations

We use advanced methods and materials to restore decayed or damaged teeth, ensuring visually pleasing results that harmonize with your natural smile.

Amalgam (silver) fillings for posterior teeth 

In cases where patients prefer amalgam fillings or where they are clinically indicated, we provide durable and reliable restorations for posterior teeth.

Restoration of endodontically treated teeth: 

After root canal treatment, we provide restorative procedures to strengthen and protect the tooth structure. This may involve placing a crown or other types of restorations to restore functionality and aesthetics.

The procedure  involves removal of infected pulp from innermost part of a tooth while preserving healthy portion. It is commonly performed on primary teeth (baby teeth) to alleviate pain and prevent further infection.
